UTMCAP

Compared

UTMCAP or Keitaro

This is not really a price comparison. Keitaro sells you software to run on a server you rent; we answer the redirect ourselves. Both bills are small — the difference is which one includes the server, the patching and the night the disk fills up.

Their figures were read off their own pricing page on 2026-09-10. Prices change; if one below is out of date, tell us and it gets corrected.

What you are billed for

The two prices are not counting the same thing.

Their pricing page states no click or traffic limit on any plan. The licence is per month, and the traffic ceiling is whatever the server you rent can answer.

Which is genuinely the better deal at volume, and worth saying plainly: past a certain amount of traffic, a licence plus a box you already run is cheaper than anything metered, ours included. What it does not include is the box, or the person who looks after it.

Side by side

Both ladders, as each of us publishes them.

Where Keitaro is better

The reasons not to move.

Written first, because a comparison page that finds nothing good to say about the other product is not a comparison.

Where we are better

The reasons to.

  • There is no server

No VPS to size, no PHP to patch, no ClickHouse to keep from filling the disk, and no 3am where the redirect is down because the box is. The $40 licence is not the whole cost of running Keitaro and the $29 is the whole cost of running this.

  • The redirect is answered at the edge

From Cloudflare rather than from one region. The fastest of twenty-five countries we measured came back in 69 ms. A single server in Frankfurt cannot do that for a visitor in Jakarta unless you build the distribution yourself.

  • Ten domains on the entry plan, unlimited from $59

Their Starter licence is one domain and one user. Certificates are issued for you here as soon as the record resolves.

  • Ten thousand clicks free, with no card

You can point a domain at us and run a click through before deciding anything. A licence is bought before you find out.

The verdict, including when it is not us. Pick Keitaro if you have the traffic to make a licence cheaper than metering and somebody who is happy running the server — at that point it is the right answer and we would tell you so. Pick us if you would rather spend the day buying media than administering a tracker.

Questions

The ones that decide it.

What is not built here is listed on the platforms page rather than left out of this one.

Also compared

Is Keitaro really cheaper at volume?
Past a certain amount of traffic, yes. A licence with no click ceiling beats anything metered eventually, ours included. What the licence price leaves out is the server, its bandwidth, and the time spent keeping both healthy — so compare the total, not the two prices.
Can I self-host UTMCAP?
No. This is a hosted service and there is no self-hosted edition. If running it yourself is a requirement, Keitaro is the answer to your question, not us.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Clicks, conversions and campaigns export in full, in formats another tool can read, for as long as the account is open. The tracking domains are yours and their DNS records point wherever you send them next.

Run one campaign through both.

Ten thousand clicks a month and no card, which is enough to see whether the numbers agree with the ones you already have.
